New Talk: Primary Prevention of Domestic Violence with the US Air Force Europe (USAFE)

Client | US Air Force

What Does Primary Prevention in Domestic Violence Look Like?

The United States Air Force (Ramstein) has invited me to speak about primary prevention of domestic violence. This hour-long talk will summarize the lived experience of violence from four Airmen, spouses of Airmen, and an Air Force contractor who experienced domestic abuse. These stories provide the context to describe what an ideal primary prevention system looks like in the Military.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. define and explain the differences between domestic and intimate partner violence, and

  2. describe primary prevention strategies to reduce domestic and intimate partner violence

The talk is hosted by Headquarters of the United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA), as part of their Spouses Lunch and Learn Series.

You’ll have three opportunities to hear the talk, all times listed are for those in the host country of Germany (+6 ET).
